SVLAC Internship Program:
Interns accepted into our one-year program will gain hands-on experience across a wide variety of cases. While supported by experienced staff veterinarians and technician tem, interns can quickly earn autonomy – managing their own cases, participating in surgeries, handling emergency calls, etc. By the end of the 12 months, successful interns will possess the requisite skills and competencies to enter private practice or residency programs. Duration: June 15th through the following June 14th.

Salary and Benefits:
   $30,000 per year.
   Medical and dental insurance.
   Professional liability insurance.
   Practice vehicle with fully stocked vet box.
   Stipend for an approved continuing education conference.
   AAEP membership dues.
   Five days paid vacation, seven paid holidays.

Duties and Responsibilities:
   Assist staff veterinarians in all aspects of patient care on site and in field.
   Participate in a variety of surgical procedures.
   Handle emergency on-call cases.
   Communicate effectively with clients.
   Become acquainted with standard veterinary business practices.
